Theme development
Custom themes and child themes built from your design files — not a marketplace template with the demo content swapped out.
I'm Nikita — a WordPress developer based in Slovakia. 11+ years on one stack, deliberately: custom themes, WooCommerce, and the performance work most builds skip.
I build WordPress sites that load fast, sell well and survive the next update — written by hand, tuned for search, and handed over clean so you're never stuck with me.
A site that brings enquiries and orders, with a fixed quote in writing before work starts.
White-label development under your brand, led by your project manager.
Slow, broken or abandoned sites — audited first, then fixed properly.
Six things I do every week. Each one ships with clean code, documentation and a proper handover.
Custom themes and child themes built from your design files — not a marketplace template with the demo content swapped out.
Stores with the checkout, shipping rules and tax logic your business actually runs on, wired to your payment and stock systems.
Core Web Vitals work: image pipeline, caching layer, database queries cleaned up, and the plugins you don't need taken out.
Updates, backups, uptime checks and security patches handled on a schedule, so nothing breaks quietly between launches.
Structured data, clean markup, sitemaps and redirect maps built during development rather than bolted on six months later.
Redlines implemented to the pixel across every breakpoint, with motion added only where it helps someone get through the page.
Real businesses, real traffic. A few builds I'm proud of — from US tech firms to UK furniture stores.

A rough brief is enough. You get a scope and a fixed price before anything gets built.
Usually within one working day. If something in the brief looks like it'll cause trouble later, I'll say so in that first reply.
Thirty minutes to walk through the structure, the constraints and anything the brief didn't cover. Free, no obligation.
Sitemap, phases and a fixed figure in writing before anything gets built — so there's no moving target once work starts.
I started on PHP in 2015 and never drifted. When a site is slow, a checkout is dropping orders, or a theme update has broken a layout — I've usually seen the shape of it before.
Alongside development I help clients keep the rest moving — scheduling social posts, running ad campaigns, and directing product photo and video shoots. Now based in Slovakia and studying for a Master’s in Management, so the technical answer usually comes with the business one attached.

“Nikita turned our outdated site into a fast, modern platform. Her Divi and Elementor work is outstanding, and every request came back handled properly. One of the best developers we've worked with.
“Exceptional work. She built a custom WordPress solution for our business and tuned it for speed and search. Clear communication, delivered on time, pixel-perfect.
“We've hired Nikita for several WordPress and WooCommerce projects. Her coding standard is world-class, and she also kept our social posts on schedule and wrote marketing emails that lifted our response rate.
“She handled our full redesign in Elementor plus custom theme work, then coordinated our product shoot — models, styling, props, venue. A full-support professional who goes past the brief.

The new design looks better and loads worse — and it's almost never the design's fault. The five things that usually change during a rebuild.

↗28 June 2026 · 6 min readNeither is the right default. The actual decision tree — who edits the site, how many templates you need, and what you'll pay for later.
↗14 June 2026 · 9 min readNew WordPress builds and custom themes, WooCommerce stores, migrations onto WordPress, Core Web Vitals and speed work, and taking over sites that someone else built and left behind. If it runs on WordPress, it's in scope.
Both. Much of the last eleven years has been white-label development for agencies in India, Malaysia, the UK and the US, alongside direct work with business owners. Agency work can run under your brand with your project manager leading.
Yes — it's a regular part of the work. Send the URL and admin access when you're ready and I'll audit what's there first, so the quote covers what actually needs doing rather than a guess.
It depends on page count, how much content is ready and how many integrations are involved. You'll get a phase-by-phase timeline with the quote, before any work starts.
Every project is quoted individually against its scope, and the figure is fixed in writing before work begins. Sharing a budget range helps — it lets me tell you honestly whether it's realistic, and propose a phased approach if it isn't.
If you want it. Maintenance runs as a monthly retainer covering updates, backups, uptime checks and security patches. It's optional — sites are built to be handed over, not to keep you dependent on me.
Tell me what you're building and where it's stuck. A rough brief is enough to get a scope and a timeline back.
